About The Position

The Full-Time General Cleaner position at St. John The Divine in Houston, TX is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks in common areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces, as well as light maintenance and assisting staff and visitors. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with a pay rate of $15.00/hr.

Requirements

Ability to follow safety procedures.
Proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Responsibilities

Cleaning lobbies, hallways, entrances, and other common areas.
Monitoring and cleaning restrooms throughout the day.
Restocking supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and sanitizer.
Emptying trash and recycling bins and replacing liners.
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning floors.
Cleaning glass doors, windows, and other high-touch surfaces.
Responding quickly to spills and other cleaning emergencies.
Setting up and taking down tables and chairs for meetings or events.
Performing light maintenance, such as changing light bulbs or reporting repair needs.
Keeping outdoor entrances, sidewalks, and parking areas free of litter and hazards.
Assisting visitors or staff by providing directions or reporting facility issues to management.
Following safety procedures and using cleaning equipment and chemicals properly.
