About The Position

Marsden Central, L.L.C. is hiring a General Cleaner at the Blake School Hopkins Campus in Hopkins, Minnesota. The role involves cleaning an elementary and middle school, including bathrooms and classrooms, and helping with the gym, swimming pool, and other areas as requested by the manager and supervisor. The cleaner must communicate with teachers, school staff, and Marsden management. The shift is Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, at $21.25 per hour. This position is classified as essential. A pre-employment criminal background check is required. As a condition of employment, the employee must join Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 26 upon hire; employment terms, compensation, and benefits are governed by the collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to speak English for safety reasons.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Must complete a pre-employment criminal background check.
Must become a member of SEIU Local 26 upon hire and complete union membership and dues authorization.

Responsibilities

Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors throughout the building.
Collect and dispose of trash from bins throughout the building.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
Dust, wipe, and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and furniture.
Clean bathrooms and classrooms and help with the gym, swimming pool, and other areas as requested by the manager and supervisor.
Communicate with teachers, school staff, and management.
