About The Position

The General Cleaner is a frontline Team Member in 4M Building Solutions’ janitorial services operation. The employee is trained in 4M’s cleaning and disinfecting practices and uses green-seal-certified supplies and equipment. The role includes cleaning and maintaining facility areas, replenishing restroom supplies, removing trash, and reporting maintenance issues. The description is representative, and duties may vary.

This is a part-time position scheduled Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at $16.00 per hour. The position reports to the Account Supervisor/Account Manager. Team Members must wear provided 4M apparel and personal protective equipment when required by the position and OSHA requirements.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Some janitorial experience is required.
• Must successfully complete a drug screening and background check.
• Must comply with safety guidelines.
• Must wear provided 4M apparel and personal protective equipment when necessary, in accordance with position and OSHA requirements.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete training in 4M’s cleaning and disinfecting practices using green-seal-certified supplies and equipment.
• Represent 4M as a reliable, courteous, and resourceful team member.
• Wipe down surfaces, including countertops, fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, and furniture.
• Remove trash.
• Replenish towels, soap, and toilet paper.
• Sweep, wet mop, and vacuum.
• Report repairs, replacements, leaks, and drips when noticed.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear provided apparel and personal protective equipment when required.
