About The Position

Peninsula Cleaning Services is hiring General Cleaners and Janitors for medical facility cleaning in Gloucester, VA. This role is critical for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, which patients, nurses, and doctors rely on daily. Responsibilities include sanitizing patient rooms and exam areas, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and common spaces, mopping and vacuuming, emptying trash and disposing of biohazard waste according to protocols, wiping down high-touch surfaces, and restocking cleaning supplies. The role requires adherence to all healthcare cleaning regulations and reporting safety issues to a supervisor.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of janitorial or commercial cleaning experience
• Preferably in a medical or healthcare cleaning environment
• Self-motivated
• Detail-oriented
• Able to work independently throughout your cleaning shift
• A valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Sanitizing patient rooms and exam areas
• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and common spaces
• Mopping and vacuuming all assigned areas
• Emptying trash and disposing of biohazard waste according to cleaning protocols
• Wiping down high-touch surfaces
• Restocking cleaning supplies such as soap, paper towels, and liners
• Following all healthcare cleaning regulations
• Reporting any safety issues to your cleaning supervisor
