Performs general repair and maintenance of architectural and structural systems in county buildings. Items such as doors, windows, floors, walls, ceiling stairs, office furniture, shelving, roof repairs and other related work. Safely operates, cleans, maintains and stores a variety of stationery and hand tools, inspects facilities to identify architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing deficiencies, also conducts building safety inspections. Performs more complex skilled trade work independently. Prepares work requests for all necessary architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs and maintenance, coordinates with facility users to correct deficiencies in building systems. The position location and work schedule can be altered or changed at any given time due to business necessity and continuity of operations. A flexible working schedule is required as well as call-back and on-call. This position requires the incumbent to be issued a procurement card and necessitates adherence to all associated policies and procedures governing use of the card. Note: Incumbent is considered essential personnel. This position is located at the judicial complex and work assigned could be at the County courthouse, Adult Detention Center or other surrounding buildings of the campus. This position can be assigned anywhere in the county daily. The position location and work schedule can be altered or changed at any given time due to business necessity and operational needs. A flexible working schedule is required as well as call-back and on-call participation.
