About The Position

Courtesy Automotive Group is a family-owned and operated business since 1955, dedicated to providing an exceptional automotive experience. They are seeking an experienced General Automotive Technician to join their growing service team. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded with strong diagnostic and repair skills, capable of working on various vehicle makes and models. Previous experience in an independent repair facility or service center, with broad knowledge across multiple manufacturers, is preferred. This role requires a dependable, efficient technician committed to high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Requirements

  • Must provide and maintain your own professional-grade tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties associated with automotive repair.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and work in varying shop conditions throughout the day.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willing to submit background check and drug test

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3-5 years of automotive repair experience preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience servicing a wide variety of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
  • Previous experience at an independent automotive service center is highly desired.
  • ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on all makes and models.
  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Complete routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire services, and manufacturer-recommended maintenance.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and service information to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
  • Document inspections, findings, and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards while ensuring repairs are completed correctly the first time.
  • Test-drive vehicles as needed to verify repairs and diagnose concerns.
  • Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
