About The Position

This position involves performing general assistant duties, primarily focused on non-clerical tasks within a facility. The role requires the ability to operate standard custodial equipment and fulfill the physical demands of the work. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience demonstrating ability to safely and effectively operate standard facility custodial equipment.
  • Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the work.
  • Ability to arrange, compare, count, differentiate, measure and/or sort data and/or information.
  • Ability to exchange information for the purpose of obtaining information or clarifying details.
  • Ability to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of electrically powered custodial equipment, and hand-held supplies and cleaning tools.
  • Ability to utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive, and advisory data and information.
  • Ability to perform addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Ability to exercise the judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving a variety of generally pre-defined duties which are often characterized by frequent change.
  • Ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 100 pounds).
  • Ability to perceive and discriminate odors.

  • Visual perception and discrimination.
