About The Position

GE Vernova is seeking a General Assembler to build mechanisms and breakers according to blueprints and wiring diagrams. Grid Solutions provides equipment, systems, and services that deliver power reliably and efficiently from generation to end consumers, supporting the energy transition.

The assembler inspects and prepares parts, assembles breakers to standard drawings and customer specifications, and performs quality checks and documentation. The role also includes preparing breakers for shipment and maintaining a clean work area.

• Ability and willingness to work overtime, flexible shifts, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Unpack parts, inspect each for proper functioning, and ensure all parts are present.
• Assemble breakers according to standard drawings and customer specifications, or prepare breakers for shipment.
• Clean and prepare tanks and sub-assemblies for downstream assembly.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with a supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
• Perform assembly functions in accordance with Quality Control Procedures to meet quality-control and customer standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure each breaker is properly assembled, vacuumed, pre-filled, and ready for testing and shipment.
• Document work performed using appropriate forms, including labor records and QCRs.
• Clean the work area at the end of the shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
