About The Position

This position involves the safe assembly, build, repair, and/or testing of a variety of new and older mobile oilfield service equipment. The role requires using standard and non-standard tools, equipment, and procedures with considerable judgment to ensure quality, correct parts, and proper procedures are used. The employee must follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs, including health, safety, and environmental requirements. This role requires the employee to supply their own tools, with a minimum recommendation list available. The company will lend some atypical tools for temporary use. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Familiarize yourself with operation controls such as safe working practices and job hazard analysis as appropriate to specific work tasks.
  • Read equipment assembly specifications, such as charts, schematics, blueprints, and typed instructions and details and communicate any questions or discrepancy back to Team Lead/Supervisor.
  • Brings technical problems encountered to the Team Lead's attention for resolution throughout the project.
  • Operate rigging equipment, forklifts & other machinery.
  • Assemble mechanical components and perform basic mechanical tasks.
  • Participate in regular shop/yard organization and cleanliness exercises.
  • Ability to pass a Health Screening.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/stoop/sit for 8 hours.
  • Performs basic/repetitive tasks following established company procedures.
  • Takes direction and works under direct supervision.
  • Decisions reviewed/made in conjunction with senior person.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in assembly preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use considerable judgment to ensure quality, correct parts, and/or proper procedures are used.
  • Follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Supply your own tools; a minimum recommendation list is available.
  • Complete and maintain various records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate the capability to work independently or in a team on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems.
  • Train new employees in assembly operations as required.
