About The Position

This is a Fall Centralized General Applicant Pool for Afterschool Programs. Applications submitted here are actively reviewed by Program Directors, Coordinators, and/or members of site hiring teams across LEAP's 18 school-based afterschool sites in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Manhattan. LEAP believes in the transformational power of the arts and aims to spark creativity, foster confidence, build critical skills, and ensure every student has access to high-quality arts education. The available roles include Teaching Artist, Activity Specialist, and Group Leader, each with specific responsibilities and pay ranges. To be considered, applicants must complete a location and role questionnaire.

Requirements

Experience in designing and leading workshops (Teaching Artist).
Experience in designing and facilitating clubs (Activity Specialist).
Ability to model positive behavior (Group Leader).
Ability to ensure participant safety (Group Leader).
Ability to support daily program operations (Group Leader).
Completion of the location and role questionnaire.

Nice To Haves

Experience in classroom creativity.
Experience in sports.
Experience in fine arts specialization.

Responsibilities

Design and lead culturally responsive, art-focused workshops that integrate arts and academic learning to spark youth creativity and self-expression (Teaching Artist).
Design and facilitate hands-on, specialized clubs (such as STEM, chess, culinary arts, fashion, or athletics) that fuse arts with academic learning (Activity Specialist).
Model positive behavior, ensure participant safety, and support daily program operations by helping to facilitate academically aligned arts, sports, or STEM instruction (Group Leader).
