About The Position

PACCAR Leasing, a PACCAR division, was founded in 1980 to provide premium Kenworth and Peterbilt vehicles to leasing and rental customers. Paclease is one of the fastest-growing commercial truck leasing companies in the transportation industry. With independent and company-owned locations throughout the United States and Canada, Paclease provides customized full-service lease, rental, and contract maintenance programs designed to meet your specific fleet needs. This position is responsible for managing the General Accounting functions for PACCAR Leasing Company and interacts closely with a variety of departments and personnel throughout the corporate headquarters including Canada and Controllers’ organization.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including effective written and verbal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. tableau, etc.).
  • Problem solver with ability to work independently and self-motivated, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  • Positive attitude and “can-do” approach to issue resolution.
  • BS/BA Accounting degree
  • 7 + years of relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibility
  • Supervisory experience

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree or CPA strongly preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Public Accounting or audit experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor and motivate staff of three accountants including hiring, training, cross-training, goal setting and performance appraisals.
  • Manage day-to-day and month-end accounting for the U.S. and Canada General Accounting functions including daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and analytical reports, including quarterly tax and external reporting packages.
  • Review various journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and perform account analysis.
  • Review various department expenditures and analyze variances between budget and actual results for monthly flash.
  • Assist with preparation / review of forecasts and annual budgets as applicable.
  • Responsible for development, and implementation of system initiatives including robotic process automations to reduce cycle time and improve department effectiveness and productivity.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with PLC operations, Corporate and PFC Treasury, PACCAR Tax Department and other accounting departments.
  • Manage and coordinate quarterly reporting to Corporate Accounting and external auditors to support SEC filings and other information requests.
  • Ensure strong internal controls are in place, including participating in internal control testing or operations reviews for U.S. and Canada and supporting internal/external audits.
  • Coordinate and assist with special projects as assigned, including system implementations and championing various process improvements utilizing AI, Six Sigma and other data analytic tools.
