About The Position

The General Accounting Manager will be responsible for the management of higher-level general accounting activities such as financial statement preparation including notes and staying up to date with new standards and updates. The Manager is expected to have a significant role in the upcoming ERP consolidation project.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Accounting
Proficient in Famous, Trullion (ASC 842), Word, Excel, and other computer software programs
Strong collaborator with ability to interact with all levels of staff in the organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask in a high volume, multi-deadline environment
Must exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making

Responsibilities

Manage the company’s lease accounting process, including identification, classification, and accurate reporting of lease agreements in compliance with ASC 842.
Maintain lease schedules and ensure timely recognition of right-to-use assets and lease liabilities.
Prepare notes for related party transactions.
Prepare entries for finance transactions such as interest rate swaps.
Provide bank compliance certificate support and completion.
Support for borrow base schedule.
Maintain schedules and prepare journal entries for property leases and similar transactions.
Ensure Line of Credit and other debt is accounted for properly.
Provide cash forecasts as needed.
Liaise with external auditors.
Provide support regarding board presentations as requested.
Prepare financial statements in compliance with auditing standards.
Review and approve assigned Journal Entries.
Review and reconcile Inter-company transactions.
Support the Deloitte Tax Team.
Prepare and review local and state tax returns.
Support the consolidation of seven entities into a single Famous instance without the need for reconciling differences.
