About The Position

Monitor the production process by spreading, inspecting and packing product.

Requirements

• Must use both hands.
• Must be able to stand by a continually moving conveyor to spread and inspect goods.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable.
• Must be self-driven.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Palletjack Certification for certain production workers.

Responsibilities

• Spread, inspect, and pack product.
• Remove scrap product from conveyor belt and place into inedible barrel.
• Pack product into boxes weighing 9 to 35 pounds.
• Close boxes, push them through a tape machine, and stack them on skids to a height of 4-6 ft.
• Transfer product to the freezer using pallet jacks.
• Report any issues with product to the lead/manager/supervisor.
• Work as a team under the supervision of a lead.
• Sweep and clean the production area when the line is down.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations per established company policies.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Follow established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required.
• Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay.
• Use proper lifting techniques.
• Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift).
• Use personal assistance (buddy).
• Use handrails.
• Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
