The Production Operator II is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of processing and packaging equipment used to manufacture liquid and dry blend products. This role involves weighing, combining, and mixing materials, while monitoring and manipulating them at various stages of processing. The Production Operator II ensures that production meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards, adhering to GMP, HACCP, and company policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and write English (75% literacy).
  • 1 + year of experience operating forklifts.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 55lbs frequently.
  • Stand for extended periods; frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movements.
  • Tolerate exposure to a variety of different aromas and powdered substance.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years’ experience in food manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Operate blending, mixing, and packaging equipment.
  • Perform pre- and post-operational setup and disassembly of equipment.
  • Verify and weigh raw materials per work orders and blend sheets.
  • Mix ingredients according to specified procedures and take batch samples.
  • Package, label, and palletize finished products accurately.
  • Maintain documentation for quality, safety, and production records.
  • Assist with washdowns, sanitization, and equipment cleaning.
  • Support audits and follow HACCP procedures.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Cross-train on various equipment, processes, and production departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
