About The Position

This role involves identifying different hulls and decks for lamination, operating a fiberglass gun, and following instructions from supervisors. The Gelcoater will use small hand tools, maintain a clean work area, and inspect parts for quality and completeness. Collaboration with a team is essential for completing daily tasks, and flexibility for cross-training within the department is required. Compliance with all OSHA and safety procedures is mandatory. This is a safety-sensitive position.

  • Must be able to work in non climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
  • Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb into and out of interior of boats.
  • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment to include respirator when necessary.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
  • Employees in safety-sensitive positions must report to work fit for duty and must remain fit for duty throughout their work day.
  • To be fit for duty, the employee must not be impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.

  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Inspect all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
  • Work with a team to complete daily tasks.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.
  • Be flexible and willing to cross train within the department.
  • Comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.
