About The Position

The gelato cart attendant is responsible for handling the gelato cart, greeting guests, and providing guests with requested items. This role involves maintaining the appearance and stock of the cart, ensuring accurate transactions, and adhering to health department standards for cleanliness and organization.

Must submit satisfactory proof of employment authorization and identity to complete Form I-9 within 72 hours of commencing work.

Responsibilities

Greet guests who approach the cart.
Answer guest questions related to product and displayed items.
Pack and provide guests with requested items.
Ensure all items are correctly rung-in on checks.
Maintain correct pars of items in the display, following FIFO rules and discarding expired items.
Maintain the appearance of the cart and display throughout operating hours.
Complete closing procedures for the cart prior to departure.
Perform cash drawer checkout after each shift.
Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the cart in accordance with Health Department standards.
Refill all needed gelato items and keep the cart stocked.
Prepare products needed for gelato service, such as cups, napkins, and spoons.
Communicate any problems (e.g., cooling unit or POS issues) to management immediately.
Mark gelato with dates at the end of the shift.
Clean the cart at the end of the shift, performing routine soft maintenance cleaning.
May be assigned alternate job duties in the event of poor weather or if the gelato cart does not operate.
