About The Position

As a Geek Squad Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for people seeking technology support, knowledge and solutions for computers and other devices at a local Best Buy store. Best Buy provides training and resources to help you assess customers’ needs, perform basic services and partner with other agents on more complex repairs. The role may suit someone whom family and friends turn to with technology questions.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise them on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
