About The Position

As a Geek Squad Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for people seeking technology support, knowledge and solutions for computers and other devices at a local Best Buy store. Best Buy provides training and resources to help you assess customers’ needs, perform basic services and partner with other agents on more complex repairs. The role may suit someone whose family and friends often ask them technology questions.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
