Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html Position Overview: Bring your automotive mechanical or vehicle restoration experience to Siemens Mobility as a Motors/Gearbox Assembly Technician, where you will rebuild critical locomotive components, expand your technical skills, and receive structured training to grow your career in the rail industry. Shift: 5:00pm – 3:30am (2-3 months of training will be on 1st shift which is 6:30am – 5pm)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training in automotive mechanics or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a car mechanic or vehicle restorer; industrial or railway experience preferred.
- Proficiency with precision tools, measurement instruments, power tools, and equipment, with a strong commitment to safe operation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, follow technical procedures, learn quickly, and successfully execute tasks.
- Ability to physically lift up to 35 pounds.
- Candidates should be willing to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather if required or if applicable.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, and adjust mechanical components of engines and gearboxes.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and diagrams.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve assembly processes.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery.
