About The Position
Siemens Rail Components is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to support the introduction and production of rail components in Alpharetta, GA. This role involves collaborating with international teams to adapt test setups, provide technical expertise, and enhance testing processes for rail components, contributing to the growth of the rail industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of five years of related experience.
- Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in writing and editing requirement documents, test plans, and work instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all new test infrastructure and troubleshooting existing ones
- Review and improving Test Requirements and ensure local infrastructure is adequate
- Creation, improvement, and troubleshooting of Test Procedures and Test Programs
- Represent Engineering Team at Internal and Customer FAIs to support any questions regarding design and test infrastructure.
- Lead teams to define opportunities for reducing routed hours, increasing ergonomics, improving tester safety, and favorably impacting our sustainability efforts
