About The Position

This is a senior role within the GE Aviation Materials (GEAM) Engine Trading & Leasing team. The primary responsibility is managing the buying of unserviceable engines, aircraft, and portfolios of aircraft and engines to support GEAM’s yearly targets for used material consumption. This role owns and influences commercial business operating guidelines and has ownership or influence over yearly aircraft and engine acquisition targets. The position is guided by functional policy and is highly visible within GEAM and GE Aerospace, requiring an entrepreneurial approach to increase asset purchases on and off the open market. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated to meet or exceed targets while working cross-functionally within the organization and managing the unserviceable engine procurement process from end-to-end.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft and aircraft engine trading and/or leasing.

Responsibilities

  • Formulates and executes proposal strategy and purchase agreements.
  • Formulates deal structure, works with pricing teams and product line managers, and leads proposal development.
  • Leads customer negotiations.
  • Identifies new opportunities with Leads hunting and targeting activities for engines across the globe.
  • Understands used engine market pricing dynamics and trends to negotiate sale and purchase pricing.
  • Leads all activities related to engine trading, including deal negotiation, contracting, deal closing, and engine handoff processes.
  • Ownership of team Key Performance Indicators.
  • Utilizes FLIGHT DECK to improve proposal process.
  • Develops commercial expertise across one or more countries, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups.
  • Influences strategy and ensures delivery across large and/or diverse sales territories.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making processes.
  • Leads efforts to find creative solutions to address complex projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers.
  • Evaluates the quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis.
  • Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships both internally and externally.
  • Acts as a focal point to the market in terms of representing GE Aerospace on engine procurement and other various activities across the broader business.
