About The Position

Sky Climber Renewables (SCR) is seeking experienced GE Wind Turbine Service Technicians to support scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting activities near Laverne, Oklahoma. This role is intended for technicians with GE service experience capable of safely completing preventive maintenance, inspections, corrective maintenance activities, and supporting advanced troubleshooting efforts. These are long-term, site-based positions supporting GE SLE 1.5-77 turbines, SSB Pitch systems, and associated turbine equipment.

Requirements

  • GE wind turbine service experience with preference for GE 1.5 platform experience
  • Demonstrated ability to safely complete scheduled wind turbine maintenance
  • Experience supporting troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities
  • Working knowledge of wind turbine mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pitch, and control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and basic electrical schematics
  • Proficiency using common hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and computers required for turbine service
  • Ability to produce accurate work orders and maintenance documentation
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, schedule adherence, and teamwork
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing requirements
  • Ability to meet customer-specific site access requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required technical and safety certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting GE SLE 1.5-77 turbines
  • Experience with SSB Pitch systems
  • Experience with GE converter systems
  • Prior site-based wind farm operations and maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Safely complete scheduled maintenance on GE wind turbine systems
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective service activities
  • Support troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pitch, converter, and control systems
  • Assist senior troubleshooting technicians with fault isolation and turbine return-to-service activities
  • Follow OEM procedures, customer requirements, and SCR safety standards
  • Apply site-specific Lockout/Tagout procedures and maintain safe work control
  • Use turbine software, service manuals, and technical documentation to complete assigned work
  • Inspect tools and equipment and maintain clean, organized work areas
  • Complete work orders, inspection records, and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
  • Identify and escalate technical and safety concerns promptly
  • Operate company and customer vehicles safely and responsibly
  • Participate in rotating on-call support as required
