About The Position

Crossflow Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to provide direct-user support in a Linux lab. The role involves building, operating, and maintaining a private Linux enclave for Research and Development, Modeling and Simulation execution in a fully cyber-compliant configuration. The administrator will be responsible for cyber-compliant ownership of the domain, including user support, group and account management, domain administration, patching, updates, application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and security controls, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and working with a ticketing system. The candidate will collaborate with enclave users to develop technical solutions. This position also requires teaming with an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to write and regularly update a cyber package to obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) via the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The role is full-time and on-site, requiring an active cyber security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) and a Linux Computing Environment (CE) certification. The operating environment will utilize containerization technology, and the selected candidate will implement and manage this environment. Crossflow Technologies supports employee training, certification, and education.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years Systems Administration experience
  • Cyber Certification – CompTIA Security+ or other DoD recognized certification
  • Linux Computing Environment Certification
  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a range of IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations and network devices
  • STIG implementation, patching and hardening

Responsibilities

  • Build, operate and maintain a private Linux enclave for Research and Development, Modeling and Simulation execution in a fully-cyber-compliant configuration
  • Build and demonstrate cyber-compliant ownership for the domain
  • Provide all layers of user support, group and account management
  • Perform domain administration, patching, updates and application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and security controls
  • Troubleshoot and repair software and hardware problems
  • Work with a ticketing system
  • Work with enclave users to develop technical solutions and engage in technical solutioning to interesting technology problems
  • Team with an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to write the cyber package needed to seek and obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) via the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Perform documentation writing and regular updating
  • Implement and manage an environment for containerization
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a range of IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations and network devices
  • Perform STIG implementation, patching and hardening
