About The Position
This role focuses on designing and implementing solutions within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on Cloud Operations Suite, API Management with Apigee, Enterprise Integrations, and DevOps/Platform Engineering. The architect will be responsible for implementing API-first strategies, modernizing integrations, and establishing robust CI/CD pipelines and container platforms.

Responsibilities
- Implement API first strategy using Apigee: API proxies, shared flows, API product lifecycle management, developer portal integration.
- Define API governance framework (versioning, throttling, monetization where applicable).
- Implement security best practices: OAuth2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, mTLS, API key management, threat protection policies.
- Design hybrid/multi cloud integrations using Apigee (X / Hybrid).
- Optimize API performance and scalability.
- Design Enterprise Integration Hub using: Apigee + Pub/Sub + Eventarc + Cloud Run.
- Modernize legacy batch/file based integrations into API/event based systems.
- Establish canonical data models and API contracts.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions).
- Enable Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Design container platforms (GKE / Cloud Run).
- Standardize deployment frameworks and reusable components.
