About The Position

GBDS Transformation is shifting from a traditional product-build model to an AI-driven insight-generation engine that powers opportunity and portfolio management across all Business Areas. This role requires a senior leader with deep strategy & business-development experience, combined with AI delivery and Product Management expertise, to evolve capabilities that transform customer, competitor, opportunity, and capture data into actionable intelligence for the S&BD workforce. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape transformation insights and outcomes for a function that will become the backbone of S&BD operations in an AI-first environment. The successful candidate will partner with senior leaders across all Business Areas and contribute to cross-functional impacts by merging GBDS capabilities with other 1LMX solutions. Requirements

  • 10+ years demonstrated experience working in S&BD roles within a Business Area; proven ability to translate strategy into capability and insights.
  • Deep knowledge of Orders, NBF, pipeline management, and capture processes.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools and data-engineering concepts; strong command of GBDS existing tool suite.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment where priorities shift and flexibility and outcome orientation is a must.
  • Managed multi-disciplinary, matrixed teams (data scientists, engineers, analysts, BD leaders) in an agile environment.
  • Demonstrated success influencing seniors on strategy and adoption.
  • Ability to distill complex concepts into clear, business-focused narratives and executive presentations.
  • Track record using AI/analytics to improve decision outcomes and portfolio performance.
  • Experience establishing governance, ethical guidelines, and continuous-improvement loops.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience leading AI/ML projects or solution delivery (e.g., AI-driven insight platforms, predictive analytics).
  • Experience driving large-scale tech or process transformations, including change-management and governance.
  • Demonstrated business-financial acumen to evaluate ROI of initiatives and develop business cases.
  • Understanding of 1LMX ecosystem and broader digital thread across functions/processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the capability delivery for the Next-Generation Opportunity Management & CRM platform, owning vision, roadmap, and AI-enablement strategy.
  • End to end ownership of Customer Hub, OppHub, and Capture Hub products.
  • Build and manage a cross-functional delivery team (analysts, data scientists, AI engineers, BA SMEs) and partner with EBDT to deliver capability and insights.
  • Ensures work is properly prioritized by the Product Owners to enable capabilities to drive business outcomes.
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled insights that create a digital twin of opportunities, generate predictive insights around the opportunity pipeline, orders, NBF, and capture.
  • Develop capability roadmaps in close partnership with Business Areas; align AI initiatives to GBDS and 1LMX goals and outcomes.
  • Makes trade-off decisions on functionality, features, and approach that balance cost, quality, and adherence to roadmap/release priorities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive backlog that is continually prioritized in partnership with BA and EO stakeholders.
  • Facilitate senior-leadership briefings and requirements and results into business value narratives.
  • Own capability and AI adoption, change-management, and training – create curricula, run demos, and champion the platform across the BD workforce.
  • Define and track performance metrics (insight latency, predictive accuracy, adoption rates) and report progress to functional and executive leadership.
  • Navigate governance and risk – work with Transformation Council, Data and AI governance councils, and BA leaders to resolve conflicts and remove impediments.
