About The Position

The Gauge Operator will be responsible for learning and operating specialized downhole instrumentation, interpreting real-time or recorded well data, and performing precise mechanical assembly work. This role requires familiarity with wellsite safety practices, rig operations, and knowledge of pressure control procedures and hazardous energy risks. The operator will also be involved in daily vehicle inspections, maintenance, serving, using tools and equipment, safety and compliance documentation, reporting, customer interaction, and teamwork. Key tasks include managing tools, inventory, and maintenance records, as well as preparing equipment for mobilization and job execution by following detailed operational procedures.

Requirements

• High School
• 5 years of Oil Field Knowledge
• Reading schematics, tool diagrams, and operating procedures
• Pressure testing tools and connections
• Diagnosing tool failures or communication problems
• Responding effectively to changing well conditions
• Making operational decisions under pressure
• Close Vision for inspecting small parts and reading gauges
• Ability to distinguish colors (important for wiring)
• Hear on usual sounds or engine noises for diagnosis
• Work in varying temperatures
• Perform physically demanding task for long shifts
• Maintain concentration while performing repetitive tasks
• Work long shifts in outdoor environments
• Climb stairs/ladders and work around rigs safely
