About The Position

Legends Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Part-Time Gate Supervisor at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is a unique premier facility with four major venues: NRG Center, NRG Stadium, NRG Astrodome, and NRG Arena. We are seeking a unique Part-Time Gate Supervisor to join our Outside Operations team. Under the direct supervision of the Cashier Coordinator and Outside Operations Manager, the Gate Supervisor must be able to supervise the gate operations and parking credit card sales transactions of all guests within the NRG Park property on a daily event basis. This role acts as a liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all client requirements are met and facility rules, regulations, and policies are adhered to.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional skills in customer relations, communications and problem solving.
  • Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Operate standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using MS Windows, Excel, MS Word, and other Parking Systems software.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and supervise Gate Attendant operations and traffic flow at gates.
  • Communicate event notes and updates to Gate attendants and Outside Operations Management before and after events.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment such as cashless parking equipment, and radios.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of Gate Attendants and temporary staff.
  • Ensure Gate Attendants follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Resolve customer and Gate staff complaints and issues or escalate to Outside Operations Management.
  • Function as a Gate Attendant, when needed.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
