This role is for a FULL-TIME GATE ATTENDANT - SECURITY OFFICER in the Iowa City, Iowa area.

Requirements

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Disciplined to stay off personal phone.
• Able to walk extended periods of time.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license/reliable transportation.
• Able to pass Iowa Department of Public Safety/FBI Background check from age of 18 to current.
• Able to pass company motor vehicle records check.
• Able to pass pre-employment 4-panel drug screen.
• Able to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
• Able to remain calm in non-emergency and emergency situations.
• Detail oriented and aware of surroundings at all times.
• Available to cover vacant shifts (Overtime).
• Comfortable using a tablet and its functions for job-related tasks.
• Reliable—excessive absenteeism will not be tolerated.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access at the gate.
• Ensure all individuals and vehicles comply with security regulations.
• Maintain a log of entries and exits.
• Respond to non-emergency and emergency situations calmly and professionally.
• Interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
• Be detail-oriented and aware of surroundings at all times.
• Cover vacant shifts as needed (Overtime).
• Use a tablet and its functions for job-related tasks.
• Maintain discipline and refrain from using personal phones during work hours.
