Gate Attendant (Safety & Security)/Seasonal Employment
About The Position
The Parking Hut Attendant is part of the Ticketing & Sales Office team. Exceptional customer service and outstanding patron experience is part of the team’s responsibility. The entrances to the grounds at Chautauqua Institution are staffed by a Gate Attendant. In addition to scanning the credentials for entry/exit to the grounds, the Gate department staff greet patrons and provide directions as well as general information. The gates are typically staffed every day from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; hours of operation may vary based on business needs. The Parking Hut Attendant may stand for two to four hours during peak periods and is subject to environmental conditions such as weather, sun, wind and humidity.

Responsibilities
- Greet patrons in a courteous manner.
- Scans & checks validity of patron passes & tickets.
- Assists patrons when the gate pass scans invalid.
- Provide patron with basic information and directs patrons to appropriate staff & locations as needed.
- Provide a positive patron experience by being professional in appearance and behavior.
