About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gate Attendant in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related procedures while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications-related location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, visitor logs, and credentialing processes; verify authorization for access and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobbies, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate activity, incident, and access-control documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
