Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. What You Will Do Conducts Receiving Inspections (RX) of materials received. RX inspectors may unload trucks shipment arrives at shipping dock in boxes, crates, bins etc. Parts are identified by Purchase Order (PO) and barcode system and stored in a designated location in RX. The RX Inspector receives part by verifying part is the correctly listed on shipping documents; verifying identifying numbers (part and serial), completing visual inspection. RX Inspector uses computers to access programs such as SAP, Microsoft Outlook, and other program in the Pratt and Whitney network. Communicates in writing/verbally concerns with supplier conformance. RX Inspector observes the condition of received hardware and documents their technical observations on paper. Must establish professional rapport with customers, vendors and quality engineers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic knowledge and proficiency of inspection methods
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain PIV license

  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspection of purchased parts and materials
  • Verify part, serial numbers, part numbers, and deviations, check for obvious damage/defects
  • Complete inspection records, logs, and rejection reports.
  • Communicates in writing and verbally on concerns with supplier conformance.
  • Unload parts from courier truck at loading dock, ability to obtain PIV license.
  • Complete invoice and packing slips to ensure customer payment
  • Obtain RX inspection stamp within 3 months in role
