About The Position

This position supervises Triage nurses and ensures a smooth workflow. It involves monitoring productivity metrics, staff performance, and developing/implementing new protocols to enhance efficiency. The role also includes overseeing staffing ratios, managing biologics referral authorizations and appeals, assisting with in-basket activities and call queue assignments, and providing support and guidance to nursing staff. Collaboration with HR for staffing needs and disciplinary actions is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

• CPR Certified
• Active Illinois RN license required
• At least 3 years of experience in a medical setting such as a doctor's office, hospital or long-term nursing facility.

• One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Triage nurses and ensure smooth workflow
• Monitor productivity metrics and staff performance

• Implement scorecards to evaluate eligibility for remote work
• Oversee staffing ratios and ensure optimal deployment of resources
• Collaborate with the triage supervisor to manage the complete workflow for biologics referral authorizations and appeals
• Assist in managing inbasket activities and call queue assignments
• Provide support and guidance to nursing staff
• Collaborate with HR to address staffing needs and handle any disciplinary actions if necessary
