About The Position

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated advanced practice provider to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. Join an established team of 5 physicians and 1 APP. This role has no call structure and is an inpatient practice setting. The provider will optimize hospital throughput by effectively prioritizing and managing urgent GI cases. This is an employed position within a nonprofit health system. The provider must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Advanced Practice Provider and eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration. The role involves driving clinical excellence by leading the evaluation of new inpatient GI consults and the formulation of complex treatment plans to ensure high-quality outcomes. The clinical volume is expected to be 12–15 patients per day. Located within the Indianapolis market, this practice serves a high-acuity patient population. Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis (86th Street) is a Level 1 Trauma Center. As part of Ascension Medical Group St. Vincent, you are supported by a network of over 650 providers across 57 Indiana counties. The practice has an integrated referral network and is part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Master's degree of Nursing required.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Advanced Practice Provider
  • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

Responsibilities

  • Optimize hospital throughput by effectively prioritizing and managing urgent GI cases.
  • Lead the evaluation of new inpatient GI consults and the formulation of complex treatment plans to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage an expected hospital volume of 12–15 patients per day.
