About The Position
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a Locum Tenens position in Bay City, MI. This inpatient role requires clinical coverage and call, with a primary coverage period from March 1, 2026, ongoing. Specific coverage dates include November 23-27, 2026, December 21-25, 2026, and December 28, 2026 - January 1, 2027. The shift schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 7 am, and Friday from 7 am to 7 pm. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered. The facility offers specialty backup from Colorectal surgery and Hospitalist support. Hospital privileges are required, and ERCP proficiency is mandatory.
Requirements
- Board Certified (or Truly BE) in Gastroenterology
- Active MI License (IMLC accepted with conditions)
- Active DEA Certification
- ERCP proficiency required
- NPDB self-query required

Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for Gastroenterology services, including Monday-Thursday 7am-7am and Friday 7am-7pm.
- Perform ERCP procedures as required.
- Manage inpatient consultations and admissions.
- Coordinate with hospitalist and colorectal surgery backup.
- Document all patient encounters and utilize Doc Time for clocking in/out.
