About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join the Department of Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. These hospitals are part of NYC Health + Hospitals, the nation's largest public health system. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. This position will include a faculty appointment as a clinician-educator at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, involving supervision and teaching of fellows and residents. Requirements

Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York.
ABMS Board Eligible/Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
Proficient use of Electronic Medical Record System (EMR), such as Epic.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.

Responsibilities

Overseeing and mentoring GI fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and medical students.
Providing direct patient care and endoscopy services.
Performing a wide range of procedures including standard endoscopies and colonoscopies, EUS/FNA, diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, capsule endoscopy, and various advanced endoscopic techniques.
Engaging in research and other career development activities.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $361,000 (board eligible); $371,000 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
