About The Position

Digestive disease care is most valuable when it is timely, precise, and easy for patients to navigate. In this role, you will own the clinical outcomes of a defined panel—diagnosing complex GI conditions, performing high-quality endoscopy, and closing the loop from first visit to lasting improvement. Success is measured in safer procedures, shorter time to diagnosis, and patients who leave with a clear plan.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. with completion of an ACGME-accredited gastroenterology fellowship.
  • Board certification or active board eligibility in gastroenterology, with unrestricted state medical licensure or eligibility to obtain it before start.
  • Demonstrated endoscopy volume and quality consistent with independent practice, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.
  • Current or eligible hospital privileges and DEA registration.
  • Evidence of clear communication with patients and referring clinicians, and comfort with electronic health records and procedure documentation.
  • Ability to participate in a shared call schedule and meet access and quality standards from the first months of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a sustainable outpatient and procedure panel, completing new-patient evaluations within the practice’s access standard and converting appropriate cases to timely endoscopy.
  • Perform upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and related procedures at or above quality benchmarks for completion, adenoma detection, complication rates, and documentation.
  • Reduce diagnostic delay for high-risk presentations by ordering the right tests first, coordinating pathology and imaging, and communicating results with a documented follow-up plan.
  • Lower avoidable hospital use by managing flares, bleeds, and post-procedure issues with clear escalation criteria and same-week access when clinically indicated.
  • Partner with primary care, surgery, and oncology so referrals arrive with the information needed and return with a concise plan the referring clinician can act on.
  • Improve the patient experience by explaining findings in plain language, confirming understanding, and meeting satisfaction and communication targets.
  • Contribute to practice performance by maintaining accurate coding, procedure logs, and quality metrics that support credentialing and payer requirements.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • Productivity incentive
  • Malpractice coverage
  • CME support
