The Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease (IDHLD) is seeking an accredited GI fellowship-trained individual interested in GI motility disorders, with a specific focus on esophageal disorders. The physician will manage all aspects of patient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, education, and treatment of motility disorders, under the supervision of the director of neuro-gastroenterology & motility. IDHLD boasts a state-of-the-art motility center with comprehensive support, including experienced therapeutic endoscopists, nurses, a dietician, and surgeons. The institute also features an ACGME-accredited GI Fellowship Program, a state-of-the-art Endoscopy Unit, established colorectal and bariatric surgery programs, a well-run clinical research unit with a full-time statistician, and a teaching affiliation with the University of Maryland School of Medicine. This is a highly collegial, 13-physician GI group with diverse specializations. The motility practice is in high demand, being the only comprehensive, clinically accessible practice of its kind in the region. Comprehensive motility services are established, including Esophageal Manometry, ambulatory pH monitoring, breath testing, anorectal manometry, biofeedback bowel retraining, and whole gut motility capsule (Smart Pill). The selected candidate will have the opportunity for additional training at a mutually agreed-upon center.
