About The Position

Requirements

Willingness to learn and be trained in gas system operations
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
Ability to perform physically demanding work
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as training progresses

Nice To Haves

Experience with basic hand and power tools preferred, but not required
Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience (construction, labor, equipment, etc.)
Interest in environmental or landfill operations
Desire to grow into a Gas Technician role

Responsibilities

Assist with routine inspections of landfill gas collection systems
Work alongside Lead Landfill Gas Technicians to learn system operations and compliance requirements
Support monitoring of gas wells and probes using basic equipment under supervision
Assist with maintenance of pneumatic pumps, including removal and basic inspections
Help monitor liquid levels in gas wells
Learn and support HDPE pipe fusion and repair processes
Maintain safe working conditions and follow all site safety procedures
Perform general labor and support tasks around the landfill as needed
