About The Position

Manages the daily operations of retail services, ensuring service standards are delivered consistently, staffing levels are appropriate, and that Team Members follow all governmental laws and regulations and company policies and procedures. Reviews the department’s work schedules and Team Members’ performance along with the shift supervisors, including service standards, sale/marketing expectations, and property and staff appearance. Develops professional goals/objectives for direct reports and facilitates growth and opportunities for the team. Participates in hiring processes, administers coaching, and mediate Team Member’s disputes as needed. Oversee and coordinate training to meet or exceed objectives in sales, costs, team member development and retention, guest service and satisfaction, product quality, cleanliness, and sanitation of all retail areas, with a focus on cross-training for a more efficient operation and higher service delivery. Establishes par levels for all supplies and products, completing requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business. Develops, implements, and communicates departmental procedures. Evaluates and requests modifications to existing policies and procedures to ensure accurate audit trails and optimum productivity. Ensures that transfer slips and spill sheets are filled out and distributed in accordance with departmental procedures. Maintains complete knowledge and strictly abides by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving. Maintains current Training in Intervention and Prevention (TIPS) and Learning Education on Alcohol and Drugs (LEADS) certifications. Coordinates and implements the maintenance of all equipment to ensure safety and proper working order. May perform duties of all retail positions as necessary. Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Requires high school diploma or GED.
  • Food Handler's Certificate required within 60 days of hire.
  • California Responsible Beverage Service training and certification required within 60 days of hire.
  • Driver’s license required
  • Must be age 21 years of age or older.
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail operations or the equivalent in education/experience.
  • Management/leadership experience required (1 year minimum).
  • Experience working with online Point of Service (POS) system.
  • Excellent money handling skills.
  • Knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Ability to listen, multitask, and manage time.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress work environment.
  • Must be dependable, timely and have high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under stress.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to adjust to change.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates.
