About The Position

RECONN is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join their team as Utility Inspection Technicians. This role focuses on ensuring public safety by inspecting gas meters for leaks and corrosion. The position involves visual inspections, accurate completion of paperwork or electronic data entry, and reporting any abnormal operating conditions. This is a fast-paced role in the utility industry, emphasizing quality and safety. Training will be provided.

Requirements

• Proficiency with technology.
• Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one settings and with groups.
• Ability to work long hours and weekends.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to work well within a group, as well as individually.
• Ability to use simple hand tools.
• Ability to read utility maps.

Nice To Haves

• Outdoor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checking gas meters for leaks and corrosion.
• Performing visual inspections of gas meters.
• Ensuring all required paperwork and data are completed accurately.
• Reporting to the respective work area on time at the start of each shift.
• Identifying any abnormal operating conditions while on-site.
• Accurately filling out all forms associated with the inspection visit (electronic or paper).
