Collierville, TN - Gas Project Engineer
About The Position
The Gas Project Engineer contributes to all phases of civil engineering for natural gas infrastructure projects. The role manages project design, engineering, permitting, and approvals, and may include field-based activities as needed. DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP provides consulting engineering and construction services for natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design, and residential and commercial customer services. The company’s energy division works with a multidisciplinary team that includes natural gas, civil, and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel, and legal, compliance, and safety staff.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of related experience in natural gas or utility design.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Self-starter who is highly motivated and able to work as a team player.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and other staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field or substantial equivalent experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with local, county, and state permitting.
- Prior land development engineering or design experience.
- EIT (Engineering in Training) certification.
