Requirements

High school diploma, or equivalent.
1 year of gas pipeline experience.
Operator Qualification (OQ).

Nice To Haves

Class A CDL.
2 or more years of gas pipeline experience.

Responsibilities

Performs various welding tasks associated with new construction, repair and maintenance of existing gas utility lines and related systems/equipment such as welding pipe casings, welding vault lids and pipe fittings, welding metal parts together, welding hot gas mains, repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, fabricating special parts and apparatus, etc.
Support crew with handling and fusing gas pipe.
Fuse pipe that is ditched or drilled in the ground.
Ensure every fuse meets quality standards.
Keep tools in complete working order.
Locate utilities by hand with a shovel and probe.
Manage inventory on the truck.
Teach other employees how to fuse pipe to the correct specs.
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
