About The Position

The Gas Laborer supports the Line team and works with personnel within the department. The role performs general labor, including jobsite cleanup and restoration work such as laying sod at the end of a project. The employee follows basic safety policies and observes and learns skilled tasks, such as fusing pipe. The position operates in a field environment and requires substantial physical activity, including lifting and working in varied weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work for extended periods bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, and twisting.
• Ability to work in inclement weather, including extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
• Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships.
• Precise hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
