About The Position

The Gas Gen Training Tech supports the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of a combined- and simple-cycle generation facility. The role involves learning and performing equipment startup, shutdown, monitoring, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and routine maintenance across plant systems, including combustion turbines, steam turbine auxiliaries, water treatment systems, substation equipment, and balance-of-plant equipment. It requires a strong focus on safety, mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to follow procedures such as Lock-Out-Tag-Out, and flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and planned or unplanned site events. This is a hands-on position requiring the ability to work independently and with a team while developing the technical knowledge needed to support plant operations. Work is performed onsite at a company facility, with employees required to live within a reasonable daily commute of no more than 50 miles one way. The position includes field work and exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, humidity, electromagnetic fields, and potentially high-stress situations. Employees must be able to wear a respirator, work at heights and in confined spaces, climb ladders and stairs, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds. Travel is required for training and assistance at other sites, with estimates stated as approximately 5–10% and 5–15% in the posting. Relocation assistance may be provided as applicable. Four positions are available.
