About The Position

The intern will support Gas Distribution Operations by working alongside field and office personnel to improve safety, operational efficiency, compliance, and customer service. The intern will gain exposure to gas distribution systems, construction activities, maintenance programs, emergency response procedures, and data analysis while contributing to projects that support business objectives.

Requirements

Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027)
Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Nice To Haves

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other data analysis tools preferred.
Interest in utility operations, energy infrastructure, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Support gas distribution projects related to system reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Assist with tracking construction, maintenance, and emergency response activities.
Participate in field visits to observe gas distribution operations and understand work practices.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Dispatch, and Safety teams on process improvement initiatives.
Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and operational teams.
Review standard operating procedures and recommend process efficiencies.
Support asset management and data quality improvement efforts within company systems.
