Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited university.
  • 10+ years of directly related engineering, technical, operational, or project management experience in the energy industry as well as progressive managerial experience.
  • Proven leader of engineering and technical teams, with experience in utility, pipeline, facilities, automation, operations, integrity, or related industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, standards, regulations, and industry practices, combined with sound business insight and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated expertise in team development, collaborator management, project and financial oversight, along with strong communication skills, influencing capabilities, and relationship-building across diverse audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop an engineering team with clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure engineering standards, practices, and controls comply with applicable codes, regulations, and company requirements.
  • Drive engineering excellence through technical governance, risk-based decision-making, continuous improvement, and timely technical reviews.
  • Provide engineering expertise, mentorship, and reliable support for operations, capital projects, compliance programs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor workload, resources, budgets, contracts, and performance metrics to deliver effective, efficient engineering services.
  • Strengthen safety, reliability, integrity, and business performance by managing risks, advancing innovation, ensuring compliance, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Actively participate in key industry committees and associations to lead change and ensure Enbridge’s and broader industry goals are met.
