About The Position

South Country Co-op is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Temporary-Gas Bar Attendant to join their team at the Oyen Gas Bar in Oyen, AB. The role involves providing exceptional customer experiences. Reporting to the Gas Bar Manager, the Gas Bar Attendant is crucial for creating a positive customer experience by delivering friendly, efficient service and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities include operating fuel pumps, handling transactions, stocking inventory, and upholding site standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift 20–30 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
• Able to work in various weather conditions
• Basic computer, calculator, and POS skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and a team player
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the pumps, car wash, and propane station
• Operate computerized cash registers and process payments accurately
• Stock inventory, organize merchandise, and maintain product displays
• Ensure the gas bar is clean, safe, and organized both inside and outside
• Follow safety guidelines and uphold company policies
• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers, promoting merchandise, and ensure customer needs, preferences, and expectations are met
• Educate customers on the benefits of membership in South Country Co-op
• Other duties as assigned
