Gas Bar Attendant I - ESGB
About The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing customers with an exceptional level of customer service, maintaining a neat, clean, fresh, and well-merchandised department, and servicing vehicles. This includes filling propane bottles, attending to the car wash, and operating the point-of-sale terminal. Responsibilities also include all duties associated with inventory stocking and taking inventory counts, compliance with government standards and regulations, completing in-house training and certifications, alerting for unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment, ensuring the quality and condition of merchandise, and following all cleaning and maintenance schedules. The role requires adherence to all Safety policies and procedures and looking out for the safety of others, as well as all Wild Rose Co-op policies and procedures. This position requires the use of computers, as well as heavy lifting of products.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service is an asset
- Understanding of our Values (Teamwork, People, Excellence, Community)
- Committed to providing excellent customer service to our member-owners as well as internal customers
- Quality communication skills
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends on a rotational basis
- Use of computers
- Heavy lifting of products
Responsibilities
- Providing customers with exceptional level of customer service
- Provide a neat, clean, fresh and well merchandised department
- Servicing vehicle(s), filling propane bottles, attending to car wash, operation of the point-of-sale terminal
- All duties associated with inventory stocking and taking inventory counts
- Compliance with government standards and regulations that apply to the Gas Bar
- Complete up-to-date in-house training and certifications via e-learning courses
- Alert for the unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment
- Ensure the quality and condition of all merchandise meets the store’s standards
- Follow all cleaning and maintenance schedules
- Compliance with all Safety policies and procedures and look out for the safety of others
- Adhere to all Wild Rose Co-op policies and procedures
