About The Position

Micron is looking for a highly motivated professional to support our Gas and Chemical Systems Technician. As a Gas Systems Technician at Micron, you will maintain and repair gas delivery and/or gas monitoring systems. You will be accountable for a wide range of responsibilities that may include any or all of the following: replacement of gas cylinders (including hazardous production materials), qualification and offloading of bulk (cryogenic) fluids, alarm or reading responses, responding to customer requests, and system commissioning, qualification and testing. Requirements

  • Minimum is High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 year technical proficiency with Gas and Chemical delivery equipment.
  • Availability for 8-hour first shifts (Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday) and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • 1-year hands-on experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Gas and Chemical delivery equipment.

  • Associate’s degree
  • Experience in a similar role within the semiconductor industry or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting gas and chemical delivery systems.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all required safety training and strictly adhere to Micron safety policies, stopping work immediately if unsafe conditions are observed.
  • Conduct and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), follow change management procedures, and ensure compliance with PPE, lockout/tagout, and chemical safety protocols.
  • Identify and resolve chronic equipment alarms and defects; assist with installation, modification, and removal of facilities equipment.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment according to guidelines to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive quality and cost-saving initiatives by analyzing safety and equipment data, supporting TPM culture through metrics, CIP items, and procedures.
  • Perform audits, report safety concerns within 24 hours, and submit good catches to support EHS program goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date area specific procedures and documentation; proactively reduce health and environmental hazards.
  • Respond to emergencies and follow respirator regulations; use proper lifting techniques and ergonomic practices to fulfill physical job requirements.
