About The Position

This position performs a variety of tasks in the maintenance and care of district grounds and landscaping. The Gardener II is responsible for performing skilled landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks, operating and maintaining a variety of equipment, and performing related duties as assigned. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the aesthetic appeal and functionality of district grounds.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Three (3) years of experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance.
Valid Nevada Driver License to drive a Clark County School District vehicle.
Possession of a valid Nevada State Pesticide Applicator License (Category 3 - Ornamental and Turf) or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment.
Ability to operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, and tractors.
Ability to perform basic maintenance and repair on landscaping equipment.
Knowledge of plant, shrub, and tree care, including pruning, fertilizing, and pest control.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
